If I were a nun, I would bring food to the poor, and I would bring toys for the kids. People in jail I would preach for and I would try and stop people from divorces and make people stop marrying another man or a woman, and stop killing babies and throwing them away. I would love everybody, and I would help Father at Mass. That's what I would do if I was a nun, and I would not die sad and helpless. I would know that I did right.

I think that would make you a most excellent nun, and I pray that many, many, many little girls feel the same way you do!
Would you want to wear a habit, if you were a nun, Delaney?
You have excellent ideas about how to help people. I'm very impressed that you thought to help the people in jail. I especially like the last two lines where you say that you would not die sad and that you would know that you had done right. Those are two very important things for every person to know about themselves when they die.
Very well done!
Yes, I would want to wear a habit.
Oh, my sweet Delaney, what a beautiful story. It brings tears to Grandma's eyes - tears of happiness and joy to know I have such a special, loving and compassionate granddaughter. I love you and keep writing. It is truly beautiful.
Also, Grandma and Grandpa wish you love on your First Communion.
Love always,
Grandma
My Lydia (she's 9, will turn 10 in July) has talked about becoming a nun, and thinks a habit is *very* important. "Otherwise, how will people know you're working for God?" is what she said when she was about 6.
Sweet girls, both of you. I hope you both grow up to accomplish all the things you already realize are important. Lots of grown ups forget (or never knew). You girls are very blessed and are blessings to your families!
Wow, Delaney! Most people would say "I want to be a nun when I grow up." What I find interesting and impressive is that you have very clearly defined, specific goals. That's a very important step to realizing your dream!
Love,
Aunt Sandie
